There's An Educational App For That

An easy way to incorporate technology in the classroom is by using educational apps. One of my favorite educational apps to use in the art class is Google Arts and Culture.

Google Arts and Culture is an online platform that allows the public access to images and videos of artworks and cultural artifacts from 134 museums, institutions, and cultural organizations throughout the world. Some of it's features include:

• Virtual tours

• Hi-res images

• 360 educational videos

• art history timelines

• art toolkits

• comparative teaching resources

• collection builder

It's an incredible resource for any teacher or student who needs to access a reputable database or archive of art and historical objects. I've used Google Arts and Culture in my own class to search for specific objects, artists, and movements.
